Encryption, optimization, acceleration, oh my! Everyone knows (or should know) there is more to WAN performance than pedal to the metal speed. In order to really pump up the performance, you should be aware of bandwidth demands, site consolidation efforts, increasing traffic from branch office and remote locations and virtualization. There are also concerns surrounding data encryption and whether WAN optimization techniques are used before or after information is scrambled and safely sent out over the network.
Don't take our word for it, though. This is what some of our readers are telling us via our social networking links that provide a pulpit for advice, clarifications, and all things WAN related. Just another service from your friendly, neighborhood SearchEnterpriseWAN.com Web site, brought to you through the Window on WANs blog.
